The
History of Richardson Ranch
In
1946, Hene and Noel Richardson bought
over 300 acres of land between Langsford
and Scruggs Roads.
For the next fifty years Noel farmed
the land and raised cattle, hogs, and
Tennessee walking horses. Ilene taught
school in Lee's Summit and Greenwood
for forty-one years. She still resides
on 18.5 acres of the property she and
Noel built their house on in 1972.
Small portions of the ranch were sold
over the years, inculding twenty acres
for Richardson Elementary School. "The
Paddock" has been designed to keep
the space, privacy, and serenity that
was so important to the Richardsons. |
